The Forced Yawn

Did you know that the eye strain which comes with prolonged computer use can actually cause a lot of tension in the muscles of your face too?

If you are spending long hours in front of the computer (as most of us are these days), a simple way to help alleviate eye discomfort and the muscular tension that can build up in our facial muscles is a forced yawn.

Yawning is a natural remedy for dry and itchy eyes, as it helps to lubricate and moisten them. A really big yawn can also help reduce the tension in our facial muscles and if you can do throw in a stretch to accompany the forced yawn this will assist in decreasing tension in other body parts too like our necks, shoulders and upper back.

So why not give the forced yawn a go? Check out the video at my Cath from Occupational Focus Facebook page to learn more: https://www.facebook.com/video.phpv=362891260586566&set=vb.220279148181112&type=1&theatre

What are you doing to look after yourself today?
